Critique Partners and Writing Friends

What can I say that won’t bore you to tears? Hmmm…

Well, first, the wonderful Cresta McGowan gave me some positive feedback on my novel notes. She made me feel as if I can actually write the book that I’ve been dreaming about for so long. Trust me, I’ve been searching for a critique partner for quite some time but always wind up with the wrong fit. Cresta seems to understand me. I’m thrilled to be working with her.

We found each other on the Ladies Who Critique site. I’ve noticed that each day the number of users there grows, slowly. Maybe only one or two people each day but, it’s growing none-the-less. I’ve been a member since February and this past week have had two friend requests – out of the blue. If you get a chance go say hi to J.T. Geissinger and T.K. Marnell. It’s nice to be a part of a community.

I’ve recently re-established my presence on Twitter and have found some wonderful writing contacts to add to my faithful friends. Social media is so huge now. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the options one has. Can anyone tell me what WhoSay is?

Overall, this hasn’t been a productive week for writing. Between medical appointments and a migraine, my word count has been rather low. Today will probably be a washout as well because I have another medical appointment and I’m getting my hair cut. Wouldn’t be such a big deal if I didn’t have to drive 45 minutes to my appointments. *sigh*

I’m pleased that I finished some feedback for Cresta over the weekend. And, I’m writing in my head. When the time comes to start typing, I’ll be ready. I’ve gotten a lot of reading done in waiting rooms. Some mighty good books in the YA genre right now.

So, are you crying from boredom yet?
