Waiting on Wednesday: Reached by Condie Ally

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s pick is Reached by Condie Ally. My CP read the first two books in this trilogy and her reviews inspired me to give them a chance. I devoured them in a short time. While the second book didn’t quite live up to the first, I still enjoyed it and am anxiously waiting the final installment.

ReachedExpected publication: November 13th 2012 by Dutton Childrens Books
ISBN: 0525423664 (ISBN13: 9780525423669)

Synopsis (taken from Goodreads):
Cassia faces the ultimate choices in the long-anticipated conclusion to the “New York Times” bestselling Matched Trilogy.

After leaving Society and desperately searching for the Rising–and each other–Cassia and Ky have found what they were looking for, but at the cost of losing each other yet again: Cassia has been assigned to work for the Rising from within Society, while Ky has been stationed outside its borders. But nothing is as predicted, and all too soon the veil lifts and things shift once again.

In this gripping conclusion to the #1 “New York Times” bestselling Matched Trilogy, Cassia will reconcile the difficulties of challenging a life too confining, seeking a freedom she never dreamed possible, and honoring a love she cannot live without.

Dani, be sure to add the first two before this one. Wink

  • This sure has been a popular pick lately! I’m not sure that I will read this series since it seems to be a love/hate type but thanks for sharing! ^.^ If you would like to check out my Waiting On Wednesday you can do so here. 🙂

Hi Eric, thanks for stopping by. I wouldn’t really call it a love/hate type. There is a sort of love triangle. It’s more about free-will than anything else. Turns the seemingly utopian society on its ear.

  • I’ve been noticing this series around…might have to explore it!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

Laurel, I would have overlooked it myself if not for Cresta’s reviews. Thanks for visiting!

  • I still haven’t read the second in the series yet! I need to get on that! I loved the first book, and can’t wait to read more.

      Hey Madigan,

Your comment wound up in the spam bin for some reason. Sorry it took me so long to find you and I hope you’ll come back often.

In regards to this series, the second book fell off just a bit, but it really sets things up for the finale.
