Bio

Lindsay Paige is a young adult romance author from North Carolina. Most of what Lindsay writes are her daydreams in lavish details. (Please excuse that fact when you read one of her future works about a girl who sleeps around.;)) When not writing, she is working to complete her first year of college.

Lindsay loves to read, listen to music, watch and play tennis, along with watching her favorite hockey team, the Pittsburgh Penguins. Lindsay is a big fan of Sidney Crosby (87) and buys Penguins merchandise whenever she can.

Interview:

MF: I know you probably hear this a great deal, but you’re quite young to have published three novels. Do you think your age has helped or hindered your writing progress?
LP: Both. I’m not going to lie. Being as young as I am, it has hindered my writing. However, the more I do so and the older I get, the better I will be. My age had helped because who knows teens better than a teen? Just my opinion, of course.
MF: On your blog, you are very frank about your anxiety and dealing with an alcoholic father. I’m sure your experiences, or reflections of them, play a part in your stories. Would you give us one example of this?
LP: One example in the series would be Jake’s father. He’s an alcoholic and Jake has to grow up to try and deal with that and with his little brother. That’s just one example.
MF: Are there any messages in your novels that you want readers to grasp?
LP: I don’t intend for messages to be present, but looking back, I can see that I want readers to remember two simple words. “Stay strong.”
MF: How have your readers responded to your books and your openness about your life?
LP: They have responded well! It does me good to vent to a third party and it does them well because they see that they aren’t the only one going through it. Turns out, lots of people have alcoholics for a parent. Knowing that they aren’t alone, helps. I mostly receive more feedback from adults than teens. I do get emails here and there from teens about how my books have affected them, especially I’m Yours.
MF: Who designs the covers for your books?
LP: The original covers were taken by my mother and were designed by Simply Indie Productions. They are currently being redone by Damonza.
MF: What do you read? What do you re-read?
LP: I read YA, Erotic, Romance, and Historical Romance, mostly. I re-read books by Ellen Hopkins, John Green, Jessica Park, Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie, and Rachel Vincent.
MF: What is your favorite writing tip or quote?
LP: I don’t really have one. :/
MF: Are you currently working on another novel or writing project?
LP: I am working on quite a few! I’m working on Don’t Panic, in which the MC has anxiety as I did. (How awesome is that I can change the word “do” to “did”?!) I’m co-writing a couple of books and working on book four in the series.
MF: Do you have any advice for other writers?
LP: Stay strong and keep writing. Don’t let anyone get in the way of your dream, including yourself. Just keep writing.
MF: Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
LP: Thank you for all you do as a reader!
